Australia after clinching a memorable victory against Pakistan in the Boxing day test announced squad for the third and final test which is scheduled to be played at Sydney.
Steve O’Keefe and Ashton Agar are the new faces in the squad while Nic Maddinson and Chadd Sayers left out from the squad as Sydney wicket helps Spinners.
Maddinson who failed to contribute to his side in his three tests so far has been ousted from the squad while Hilton Cartwright and Agar are competing for the spot left out by Maddinson.
Ashton Agar and O’Keefe has done exceptionally well in their brief period of Big Bash League and also done well in their domestic cricket as well.
O’Keefe last featured for Australia in their tour to Sri Lanka who lost to the hosts by 0-3 while Agar has been in the squad which played against England during their Ashes tour of 2013.
As the Sydney wicket helps for the spinners, Australia would pick one of the lefty to the company with Nathan Lyon.
Australia already sealed the series with an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match test series against Pakistan and final test is to be played at Sydney on January 3rd.
