The 34-year old who had a rough match against Railways has continued his good form that he has shown for India and Sun Risers Hyderabad during early parts of this year. Punjab who were batting against Madhya Pradesh were in deep trouble as Madhya Pradesh bowlers have made big strikes early in the innings at 15/2.

Yuvraj Singh who has been in fine touch has come to be crease and has used his full experience to ensure Punjab were out of the critical situation as he formed an important partnership with Jiwanjot Singh as the pair added 180 runs before Jiwanjot was caught in front of wickets by Ishwar Pandey.

However, Madhya Pradesh bowlers were taken to cleaners by new batsman Gurkeerat Mann who have been very explosive since the start of his innings as he made an unbeaten 101 at the end of the day’s play. Yuvraj Singh who was accelerating at the start of his innings has played second fiddle to Gurkeerat as the latter have been very critical to bowlers as Punjab made 347/3 at the end of Day 1.

Yuvraj Singh has made an unbeaten 164 from 241 balls which included 24 fours as he played with caution and calculation throughout his innings. The veteran all-rounder will look to make a huge knock once the play resumes tomorrow as he is set for a giant knock which could open up the place in the Indian team in the coming days.
