Its indeed disheartening to see pressure get the better of the players on such momentous occasions. But unfortunately for KL Rahul, he becomes the 9th cricketer in the history of Test cricket and 2nd Indian to get dismissed on 199.

India have ended their day on 391/4, trailing their English oppositions by another 86 runs. Karun Nair finally made the opportunity count and showed some great nerves when it mattered the most. He came out to bat when the situation was quite precarious as Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara got out in quick succession, but he and Rahul stitched a commendable partnership to put India in the driver’s seat.

For KL Rahul, it will be one hard day but nothing takes the effort he has put in all day long. Talking to Sanjay Manjrekar, Rahul said he finally understood why his coach said every run is important.

It’s definitely hard for him to take in and Twitterati reacted in a mixed way after this. Here are some reactions.
