The Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG SUV has been displayed at the Auto Expo. You can now choose between gasoline and compressed natural gas (CNG). This was first reported in January 2022.
The Brezza is likely to get both automatic and manual gearboxes, just like the Ertiga CNG. This means it will have the same powerful engine as the Ertiga CNG. The CNG version is expected to cost more than the petrol version, because it uses less fuel.
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG will likely be powered by the same 1.5-litre K15C DualJet engine that’s also found in the CNG version of the Ertiga MPV. This engine produces 100hp and 136Nm in petrol-only mode and 88hp and 121.5Nm in CNG mode. So, the Brezza CNG should be similar in performance to the Ertiga MPV CNG.
The Ertiga CNG and the Brezza CNG have the same fuel efficiency- 26.11 km/kg. The New Brezza CNG is lighter than the Ertiga, so it might have a better fuel efficiency. The Brezza CNG will have an automatic transmission, which is the first CNG-powered model in India to have this feature.
The Brezza CNG will look the same as the other Maruti CNG models, but the boot space will be smaller because there is a CNG tank inside.
The Brezza CNG will have a black interior. It will be offered in the VXi and ZXi variants, and it will have features like a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartPlay Pro+, voice assistant, connected car tech with OTA updates, start/stop button, and six airbags.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG is expected to cost more than the petrol manual version and the automatic version is also expected to cost more. The Brezza CNG will be competing against other compact SUVs like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and the Tata Nexon. None of these cars have a CNG option.
