Ravindra Jadeja takes a fabulous catch: Team India have put the final nail in the Pakistani batting attack’s coffin as they have picked up all 10 wickets. However, Pakistan were able to put up a respectable total of 241 on the scorecard.
This was the only positive thing for Pakistan in this innings, as it was earlier looking like they would struggle to make a total of even 200. However, this too will be considered a low total in general at the Dubai International Stadium and Team India are expected to chase this total easily.
There were many highlights in the first innings but the top two will definitely be Babar Azam’s dismissal by Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja’s sensational catch that took out Salman Ali Agha in the latter stage of the innings.
It was Kuldeep Yadav’s delivery that Salman Ali Agha misread. He tried to hit it high but edged it and it was caught beautifully by Ravindra Jadeja in a diving effort.
He was the last proper batter in Pakistan’s batting attack who could do some harm to India’s bowlers and thus, at that stage, it was an important wicket.

However, the job of Salman Ali Agha was done effectively by Kushdil Shah, who scored 38 runs in 39 deliveries. He scored those extra bit of runs that led Pakistan to the total of 241.
Without him, they would’ve probably been stuck at around the 200 mark, which would have been almost impossible to defend. At least now, the Paks have a realistic chance of winning the match from here, however difficult it might be.
It will now be interesting to see how the Indian batters approach this total – will they try to finish this off quick or will they take their time to understand the requirements of the pitch and take it slow.
