After the first innings, the Indian fans have mixed feelings about the performance of their bowlers. They were able to pick up wickets but unfortunately the Australian batters were able to keep the run rate intact and scored as many as 264 runs. As it now stands, everything will depend on the Indian batting lineup and perform under pressure to bag themselves a win in this high intensity match.
Team India could have restricted Australia to a lesser score, had they been a bit more efficient on the field and it led to some of their places losing their nerves. For instance, during the 32nd over, Kuldeep Yadav was unable to hold a throw. Although it did not cause India to lose any run, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were visibly very upset about it. In fact, Rohit Sharma was even seen murmuring something at Kuldeep Yadav which seemed to be slurs. Virat Kohli also gave a grave look to him.
A positive thing for team India was that they were able to pick up all 10 wickets of the Aussies which is rare. Mohammed Shami picked up 3 wickets, Varun Chakravarthy and Ravindra Jadeja picked two wickets each while Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel picked up a wicket each. Apart from Hardik Pandya who gave away 40 runs in 5.3 overs, the other bowlers were considerably economical.
