The Royal Challengers Bangalore has always had a potent batting line-up but this time they have some quality bowlers in their line-up. Umesh Yadav has impressed in both the matches of the season with his pace and control and other have also chipped in with their contribution.
The Rajasthan Royals has their headaches with their batting line-up. Many believe that Rahul Tripathi should be utilized up the order and the right-hander has been given a different role. D’Arcy Short has found himself ‘short’ of making his ground in the first two matches and he can be pushed down the order.
Both teams have won one and lost one.
The Royals would have delighted to get their maiden win of the season against Delhi and so would be Bangalore who was able to get off the mark against KXIP. Virat Kohli hasn’t looked at his usual best thus far in the tournament with the bat and he would like to hit the ground running as soon as possible.
Rajasthan has a strong side on paper and it is time that the likes of Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes comes to the party. Sanju Samson has looked their best batsman so far in the competition and the youngster is timing the ball to perfection. Ajinkya Rahane should look to be more aggressive in the powerplay overs as he struggles to find the boundaries at regular intervals once the bowling restrictions are over.
For the Royal Challengers Bangalore, they would be looking to replace Sarfaraz Khan with Pawan Negi as the former has looked out of sorts. It will also give them an option of one more bowler as it is known in T20 cricket that one bowler is expected to take the hammering.
Match Prediction: The Bangalore track provided assistance to the spinners and both teams will look to lade their team with the spinners. The pitch looked good for 170-180 score. Bangalore will hold the home advantage and the captain winning the toss will like to field first.
