IPL 2018: Watch Dwayne Bravo showing his sportsmanship in the game against KXIP

Indian Premier League is not only famous for the performances by bat and ball. The whole tournament is always fun-packed and there have been many cases of sportsmanship on the field. The game of Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab was one of those games where the sportsmanship of players was seen.

In one of the two incidents, Kings XI Punjab player Yuvraj Singh went to Mahendra Singh Dhoni during the strategic time-out when the CSK captain was laying on the ground, receiving some medical attention to his back. Yuvraj Singh even went to MS Dhoni to congratulate Dhoni after his epic innings of 79 runs despite having back pain. In the other incident, CSK’s Bravo was seen helping Chris Gayle when he ties his shoelaces.

During the batting of Kings XI Punjab in the game between CSK and KXIP, shoelace of right foot shoe of Chris Gayle opened up. Since both Gayle and his partner KL Rahul were padded up, there were unable to bend themselves to reach for the shoe. Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo was nearby and came to the rescue of his West Indien Teammate. He tied the laces of Gayle’s shoe and showed the good sportsmanship. That incident won the hearts of many cricket fans. That whole episode must have given Chennai Super Kings team some valuable fair play awards.

Chris Gayle’s blistering knock took Kings XI Punjab to 197

Batting first, Kings XI Punjab managed to put up a total of 197 runs with the help of Chris Gayle’s 63 runs, that came on just 33 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 7 boundaries, as well as other valuable contributions of KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Mayank Agarwal and Yuvraj Singh.

In response, Chennai Super Kings lost both of its openers before 50 runs. Although Ambati Rayudu (49) somehow managed to bring CSK back into the game and later Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s fine display of batting, when he scored 79 runs off just 44 balls with the help of 5 sixes and 6 boundaries, almost took Chennai home. Although, Dhoni’s efforts fell little short as CSK lost the game by just 4 runs.
