Right-handed batsman Kedar Jadhav has undergone a hamstring surgery. While playing in the opening game of IPL 2018 for Chennai Super Kings, the 33-year old player from Pune, Maharashtra, suffered the injury in his hamstring. The injury ruled him out of the rest of the tournament.
Kedar Jadhav won the thriller for his franchise Chennai Super Kings in the opening game of the IPL 2018. The victory over Mumbai Indians in the first match set the momentum for Chennai Super Kings, which later won the tournament by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Jadhav updates the status of Twitter
The all-rounder took to Twitter to update the status of his injury. “After the surgery, I was reluctant to post my updates but now I realise, you all are, my strength & my motivation which keeps me going forward. I am striving & working hard on my fitness to start playing soon…”, writes Kedar Jadhav on his Twitter.
Kedar Jadhav has been the part of India’s ODI squad in the recent times. He has been the part of India’s ODI squad that went to win their first ever ODI series in South Africa. Although he himself got the chance to play in the Capetown ODI where he could manage only 1 run.
Kedar Jadhav made his International debut for India in 2014 against Sri Lanka in Ranchi. Since then he has managed to play a total of 40 one-day games for the national team and has scored a total of 798 runs. He has scored 2 centuries and 3 half-centuries with the average of 39.90.
Apart from playing for the national team, Kedar Jadhav has also played for Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the previous seasons of IPL. Currently, he is the part of Chennai Super Kings. He also plays for Maharashtra in the first class cricket.
