Cricket Australia surprised cricket fans all over the world when they made 6 changes to their squad that will be featuring in Day night test at Adelaide Oval starting on November 24. The series is already lost and for Aussies, it’s just a matter of playing for pride and a competitive performance in Adelaide will keep their spirits high when they step onto the field to play Pakistan at Gabba.
Australia have roped in 6 new faces viz. Matthew Wade, Jackson Bird, Nic Maddinson, Chadd Sayers, Peter Handscombe and Matthew Renshaw leaving out Joe Burns, Peter Neville, Joe Mennie, Callum Ferguson and Mitchell Marsh from the squad that played in Hobart. Adam Voges has been ruled out of the squad because he suffered a concussion in Sheffield shield fixture against Tasmania at the WACA last week.
Matthew Renshaw is 20-year-old batsman from Queensland. He was leading run scorer for Queensland last season. Matthew Wade has played 12 tests for Australia and averages 34 with the bat. He last donned the whites in March 2013. Jackson Bird has played 5 tests for Australia but has been a consistent performer for NSW in FC picking 195 wickets in 46 games
Peter Handscombe, 25-year-old Victorian has played 51 First-Class matches with First-Class average of 40. Chadd Sayers is a right arm Quick from South Australia who was leading wicket-taker in Sheffield Shield last season with 48 scalps. Nic Maddinson is an experienced campaigner for NSW, who has played T20I Cricket for Australia and has spent time with Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL.
