In the absence of the regular players, Manish Pandey took the onus on him in India’s 3rd T20I of the tourney as he smashed an unbeaten gritty knock of 42 runs. The stylish right-handed took to Twitter after his knock by adding a motivational quote by including his picture. Meanwhile, the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Tom Moody added his appreciation to Manish Pandey who is the latest recruit to the franchise.

Coming to match, as expectedly, India given it back in a style at Colombo as they thrashed the hosts, Sri Lankans with a margin of 6 wickets and 9 balls remaining. The stunning comeback from Indian bowling attack in the first half and later, the calm and composed innings by Manish Pandey and Dinesh Karthik saw India leading the points table pretty comfortably.

Earlier, in the match, rain has been the first guest which took away one over from each innings. After the intervention, India won the toss and choose to bowl first in order to get the target on the board. But, Sri Lankan batsmen have other ideas in the mind as they thrashed Indian bowlers superbly before Raina taking a stunner to send back Gunathilaka back in the hut.

Shardul Thakur has been the destroyer in the chief for India who bagged 4 wickets to his name while Washington Sundar picked 2 wickets to his name. Coming to Sri Lanka, Akila Dananjaya is the only bowler who impressed the pundits with his finest spell of 2 wickets while Pradeep scalped apiece.

India will take on Bangladesh in their next assignment and would not like to take any risks in player shiftings as they know that the win against Bangladesh will confirm their final’s place. They won’t like to rely on other team’s results and net run rate to decide their fate in the remainder of the tournament

Manish Pandey’s tweet read ”You will never know your limits unless you push yourself to them.” to which Tom Moody replied quoting ”Well played Manish Pandey looking forward to working with you soon!” Manish is quick in noticing who added ”Thanks, Tom! Eagerly await to work with the team.”
