The Board of Control for Cricket in India is expected to make huge money from the Indian Premier League. The Indian board is expected to make more than two thousand crores from the cash-rich league. The BCCI will make a staggering revenue of INR 2017 crores from the IPL which constitutes more than 90% of his total income.
The Indian board will make INR 125 crores from the domestic and International fixtures which is only the 6% of the total revenue. The Indian Premier League is been fetching huge money for the Indian board as it is the most expensive T20 league in the World.
BCCI is earning most of its revenue from IPL.
The BCCI will make 16 times more money in the 45-day cycle of the IPL than it would make throughout the rest of the year. In 2018, IPL is expected to make 60% of BCCI’s overall surplus of a little under 670 crores.
The Star India had bagged the media rights for the next five years for a whopping INR 16,347 crores and the IPL is expected to get the surplus of INR 2017 crores as compared to INR 400 crores during the last financial year.
