We already came across a sight when a player dons one of his teammates Jersey during the match. The same scenario took place in the match between South Africa and Bangladesh when Quinton de Kock played donning Hashim Amla’s Jersey.
In the first T20I at Mangaung Oval, Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock walks into the middle as South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first. What came as a surprise is that both the players made their feet towards the crease by wearing one Jersey with the number 1 behind it.
Don’t worry regarding it as we got the answer for it that was revealed by South Africa Cricket magazine via their official Twitter panel. They said that Quinton de Kock misplaced his T-shirt in the change room which made him wear Hashim Amla’s Jersey.
The tweet read that ”The reason why Quinton de Kock was wearing Hashim Amla’s shirt is because his shirt went missing in the changeroom.”
Coming to the match, South Africa knocked a big tally at Oval asking Bangladesh to chase down 196 runs in the required 20 overs. Quinton de Kock once again rocked the stage by knocking 59 runs to his name while Mr 360, AB de Villiers showed his charm by scoring 49 off 27 balls.
It was initially expected that South Africa are off for a record tally but the economical overs by Bangladesh spinners restricted South Africa below 200 on the board.
