Shane Watson was a quintessential box office cricketer, who received universal acknowledgement and love from fans in all the cricket loving countries. Watson quite certainly was one of the finest all-rounders of the 21st century, who was an equally brilliant batsman and bowler. Watson retired after the ICC World T20 2016 as the number one all-rounder in ICC T20 rankings.

Watson’s 185 against Bangladesh is the highest ever score by a batsman whilst chasing and the highest by any Australian. He was also the first Australian cricketer to score centuries in all three formats. In 190 ODIs, he scored 5,718 runs to go with 168 wickets and in 59 Tests, he piled up 3,731 runs to go with 75 wickets.
