Indian skipper, Virat Kohli is a stalwart name in the Indian cricket and every bit of him is a sensation in India as far as his brand value is concerned. Coming to his game of play, Virat Kohli acquired a lot of fans across the world and made his name a household thing even in the countries like England, Australia and Pakistan who always call for the competitive game.

Meanwhile, the broadcaster of Australian cricket, Channel Seven who recently took rights from Channel Nine are eager to see Virat Kohli in play and want to talk about him in their channel. Their broadcasting unit wants Indian skipper to repeat his heroic knocks once again and play his Aussie brand of cricket with his blazing willow and mouth.

Channel Seven’s head of cricket David Barham told Fairfax Media that Indian skipper Virat Kohli is a big star in Australia who almost possess the fans just like any other Australian cricketer. He added that Virat Kohli is a polarising cricketer and want to see him score hundred after hundred to keep the things interesting in the high-octane clash.

“Kohli is a polarising character, but I think Aussies love Virat Kohli and I think Virat Kohli will be as big a star of the summer as much as our guys,” Channel Seven’s head of cricket David Barham told Fairfax Media.

“If he makes hundred after hundred, we’ll talk about Virat Kohli. I’m sure he’ll do it in his own way and he will be niggling, doing what he does – fantastic. It’ll make for a great summer’s cricket. We’ll be celebrating the Indian players and their skill as much as our players,” he added to his lines.

Earlier, shockingly, Cricket Australia (CA), Channel 9, which has a strong hold over the broadcasting rights for the past 40 years, has not given a new contract to broadcast the matches. Grabbing the opportunity, Channel Seven and pay television partner Foxtel (Fox Sports) won the bidding war to broadcast cricket in Australia from the summer of 2018-19.
