Virat Kohli’s tweet read ”The overseas season is about to start and here’s wishing one of the finest we’ve got, Ajinkya Rahane a very Happy Birthday Jinx. Β Keep playing those crucial knocks!” Meanwhile, Sachin tweeted ” Wishing a very happy birthday to one of the most hardworking, disciplined and sincere cricketers I have come across. May you have a wonderful year ahead. My best wishes to you always,Β Ajinkya Rahane.”

On the work front, Ajinkya Rahane failed to show his charm in the Indian Premier League for Rajasthan Royals side. He was asked to lead the side in the absence of Steven Smith but his willow hasn’t blazed much enough to make it happen for Rajasthan Royals. However, coming to the national duty, Rahane is going to lead India in the historic Test against Afghanistan.

As he lost place in the limited overs side, he is going to travel the UK a bit late to feature India in the Test matches. Speaking on the place in ODI, Rahane was optimistic to get back in the side before the start of ICC World Cup 2019.
