The mother of all the battles, a spicy contest between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad set to make its way tonight. Though it is going to be the fourth clash between both the sides in this year’s edition of IPL, there would be no shortage of entertainment as the game of cricket always demands a fresh performance on that particular day.
As they both already faced enough times, both the thinktanks need to come up with the special plans as they already got the pros and cons of the opposition. Despite all the plans, at the end of the day, it is going to be the contest between Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowling and the batting department of Chennai Super Kings.
Talking about the pros of each team, Chennai Super Kings would once again rely on the batting department. Each player contributed to the team whenever it mattered the most. Ambati Rayudu will once again be the key player to watch while Faf du Plessis’ form is an icing on the cake. Watson seems like losing a bit of form while MS Dhoni should pull up his socks alongside Suresh Raina.
Dwayne Bravo is in dangerous form but off late, he became a hit or miss kind of player while Jadeja’s poor run with his willow continued. Luckily, CSK got Harbhajan, Deepak and Shardul who can clinch those crucial runs for the team. Coming to SRH, they are heavily reliant on their southpaw, Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson.
Interestingly, they dropped Manish in the previous game and he would come back. Rashid Khan has been brilliant and one can see any tactical promotions with him. In order to come good against CSK, SRH needs to fire in unison to counter the bowling of CSK. They got the firepower in the form of Yusuf and Carlos who need to step up to the occasion.
There is a great contrast between bowling department, SRH bowling has got the great bowlers lineup while CSK is figuring out their death bowler. Shardul Thakur has been expensive while Bravo failed to repeat his success stories. All in all, an intriguing final is set to make its way tonight amidst high roarings at a beautiful Wankhede venue.
