IPL 2018: RCB’s key all-rounder heads back to home ahead of the key clash

Featured, News

The tour of Pakistan to England is effecting few franchises in the IPL 2018. The squad that was announced by England and Wales Cricket Board contain key players of IPL 2018 who has to head back to home in order to get trained for the game. Rajasthan Royals lost the services of Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes, now, it is the turn of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

However, it won’t affect much for the team as Chris Woakes hasn’t made his mark in the IPL 2018. He was the go-to foreign player for Virat Kohli in the initial 5 games but Woakes hasn’t lived up to the expectations thus prompting Virat Kohli to look at other opportunities in the team. Corey Anderson failed to fill his shoes but Colin de Grandhomme did it to the perfection.

Leaving to his hometown, Chirs Woakes quoted that he has thoroughly enjoyed the stint in IPL and added that he will be following the game closely and cheering them all the way from England. His Instapost read ”Thoroughly enjoyed my time at this years IPL with @royalchallengersbangalore! I will be following closely from home and backing the boys to go all the way good👍🏼 luck lads! #Playbold IPL T20 @Yuzvendra Chahal.”

Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal took to Woakes post and added that he will miss him badly but it is just a matter of time before meeting again in the upcoming tour. He commented ”Miss you, my Chintu brother. See you soon.”

Coming to Royal Challengers Bangalore, despite having no chance to that magical 16 point number, they are still alive in the series. If a couple of scenarios go in their way and come out as victorious in their last two game, one can see Royal Challengers Bangalore making their feet in Playoff’s stage.
