Twitter erupts as Rajasthan knocks out Royal Challengers at Bangalore
Who would have expected Rajasthan Royals would thump Royal Challengers so badly in their home venue, Chinnaswamy Stadium. But, one man, Sanju Samson stood like a rock in the middle to hammer RCB bowlers all over the park. He smashed an unbeaten stunning 92* to hand his side a huge tally. The glorious knock was followed by a collective bowling effort and the calm and composed captaincy by Ajinkya Rahane.
Initially, it was Royal Challengers Bangalore who won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first. Rahane and Short started the things in a steady way by finding the boundaries often than not. Rahane, in particular, gave the flashy start by smacking the spinners superbly. However, a mistimed shot saw the end of his knock but then comes Sanju Samson who knocked the ball like a dream to register 92* off just 45 balls.

The blistering knock saw RR post a mammoth 217 on the board. In reply to the chase, RCB got the initial jolt as Brendon McCullum hammers a pull right into the hands of Ben Stokes in the deep. However, Virat Kohli and Quinton de Kock wrecked havoc by smashing the ball at a greater run-rate but D’Arcy Short’s magical hand given a crucial breakthrough for the side while Shreyas Gopal turned the things completely.
Gopal managed to send Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers back in his last couple of overs thus drawing the curtains on RCB hopes to chase the target. Despite losing the key players, Mandeep Singh and Washington Sundar tried their best to chase down the total but it was never going to be an easy task with some world class bowlers in the Rajasthan ranks.
The win ensured Rajasthan Royals to seal a couple of games in their first 3 games while RCB is riding on yet another roller-coaster year with a loss followed by the win and a loss. So far, Rajasthan Royals is the only team to be successful on 2 occasions even after batting first in the tourney. However, they finally proved that winning the toss is not everything.
Coming to future assignments, Royal Challengers Bangalore will now make a move to Wankhede in order take down wounded-Mumbai Indians on April 17th. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals will take on Kolkata Knight Riders at their hometown on April 18th.

Top four batsmen dismissed in the same fashion….long hops from spinners…caught in the deep. How often do we see that? RCB having finishing woes both with the bat and ball… #RCBvRR #IPL

RR have won both the games by defending their target . (One in a rain curtailed game and the other in a full fashioned way)
The only team to win a game in this #ipl by defending their scores.#RCBvRR #IPL2018 https://t.co/CrlAmUSUqf— srikrishna 🏏 (@1998Srikrishna) April 15, 2018
Nothing doing RCB. Nothing doing. Isko promote kar do, usko demote kar do, kuch nahi hone wala. Acchi bowling nahi karoge, nahi jeetoge aur acchi T20 bowling ka skill-set nahi hai tumhare paas. Baat khatam. #RCBvRR

Saying it again…Rahul Tripathi is wasted by RR at 6. Why buy him if you can’t fit him in the position that’s best suited for him? #RCBvRR #IPL

Waiting for #KingsXIvsCSK to begin but all eyes on the #RCB run chase. I think Washington Sundar could give them an option at the top allowing them to play Colin de Grandhomme

Now that is what you expect from a player of the undeniable class of Sanju Samson. Not pretty 30s and 40s but biggies. What an innings this was…

Well Played #RajasthanRoyals, I don't think with this ongoing performance of #RCB the motto of #EeSalaCupNamde will be fulfilled this year. Need to step up their bowling attack. #RCBvRR
