India stuns England in their home den to seal the 3-match T20I series to start the tour on a high. The solid knock from Rohit Sharma and the stunning performance from Hardik Pandya when it mattered the most saw India complete a fine chase at Bristol.

Initially, it was India who won the toss and elected to bowl first with a debutant Deepak Chahar replacing Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav making way to Siddharth Kaul. Accepting the challenge, England’s openers Jason Roy and Jos Buttler took powerplay by a storm to smash the bowlers all over the park. Jason Roy was the wrecker-in-chief while Buttler too made his presence felt.

It was Siddharth Kaul who given the breakthrough to India at a crucial juncture of the game and the pressure applied by Chahal helped Deepak Chahar snatch Jason Roy’s wicket as his maiden wicket. However, in-form Alex Hales carried his beautiful form but the skipper Eoin Morgan failed to get carry on with the bat. It was Hardik Pandya’s over which completely changed the scenario who injected a double-wicket over in the innings.

The late blitz from the remaining batsmen saw England push a massive 198 runs on the board. Hardik Pandya grabbed 4 wickets while Kaul picked 2. Chahar and Umesh grabbed apiece. In reply to the chase, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma started the things nicely in the first over but the unfortunate dismissal saw Shikhar walk back to the hut.

However, Rohit Sharma showed his mojo when it mattered the most to held the innings from one end and ensured the net run rate to be under the control throughout the innings. In between, Virat Kohli chipped in with a decent knock of 43 runs to help Rohit Sharma chase down the tally before giving a return catch to Chris Jordon.

Surprisingly, India sent Hardik Pandya ahead of MS Dhoni and Raina to do the task for India and it turned out well as they scripted one of the fine knocks in T20I cricket. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma brings his 3rd T20I hundred.
