The presentation ceremony of the Indian Premier League is always a grand celebration. Stars from all across the Indian industry perform in the presentation ceremony of the tournament and that has been the trend for all the previous 17 seasons and this season was no different.
This time, Shreya Ghoshal, Disha Patani and Karan Aujla mesmerized the audience in the Eden Gardens and the once watching on their televisions with their spectacular performances. After the performances were over, the King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan himself, who is also the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, came on the stage to host the rest of the presentation.
He brought in two players on the stage first – one from Royal Challengers Bangalore and one from Kolkata Knight Riders. He first brought in Virat Kohli calling him the ‘GOAT’ of cricket and asked him his opinion on whether the new era of ‘bold’ players will be able to do better than the current era of players, to which Kohli replied that he is still in the game.
He then brought in Rinku Singh came in and then Shah Rukh Khan first asked him to dance with him. The two of them danced on the song ‘Lut Put Gaya’ and then Shah Rukh Khan asked Virat Kohli to dance with him too. The two of them then danced on the song ‘Pathan’ from SRK’s namesake song after he himself requested him for that.
Following that, the IPL trophy was brought in and BCCI President Roger Binny and the other officials cut the cake to mark the beginning of the season.
