Watch: Harshal Patel’s courteous send off to Centurion Klaasen wins over the internet

Royal Challengers Bangalore registered an emphatic victory in last night’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. As we all know, RCB are one of the contenders to qualify for the playoffs this season, this was a must win game for them.

They have to win their next match against GT as well following which they will have to wait for the results of the other matches to see whether they qualify or not.

Talking about last night’s match, it RCB won it without much difficulties. Having won the toss, they opted to bowl first. They were off to a brilliant start as both Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi departed early on in the first innings.

However, Heinrich Klaasen’s stellar ton, which was also his first ever IPL century, made sure that SRH reached a respectable total. He completed his century at a strike rate of 203.92. He scored 104 off 51.

It was Harshal Patel who dismissed Klaasen in the end and gave him a very respectable send off. Harshal Patel was seen applauding Klaasen’s performance after he picked up his wicket. A video of the same went viral on social media and fans have loved Patel’s gesture. SRH were able to put up a fighting total of 186 runs.

However, the RCB batting line-up never really seemed to have any difficulty chasing it. Their openers Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis won them the match. Kohli scored a century of his own (100 off 63) while Du Plessis scored 71 off 47. That pretty much sealed the deal for them.

RCB will hope to maintain this performance against GT in the upcoming match as well as that is going to be a very difficult faceoff between the two teams. A win there will take RCB very close to the playoffs.
