IPL 2017: Sanjay Manjrekar did not make a deceptive remark on Kieron Pollard

Just a couple of days ago, the Indian commentator Sanjay Manjrekar gave his opinion when asked about Kieron Pollard’s batting position in the build-up to Mumbai Indians’ gameplay. The players, fans and whoever had listened to Sanjay’s witty one-liners received a false impression from Sanjay who called, Pollard ‘brainless’ for not batting higher up the order.

In reply to the offensive remark, Kieron Pollard hit back at Sanjay for such a comment that seemed contrary to the spirit of cricket. Even Pollard’s friend Tino Best came out in support of the Caribbean who felt that the commentator shouldn’t have uttered such a comment.

After when Sanjay came to know that things got worse, he immediately took to Twitter to say that he hasn’t done anything wrong but rather encouraged Pollard to listen to the footage, “I would also encourage all those reacting to the Pollard issue to hear the footage & not just take my word for it”.

When the confusions among the fans and players left the situation in a limbo, the official Twitter handle of Indian Premier League came up with the footage that recorded Sanjay’s opinion on Pollard that seemed to have nothing wrong about the Caribbean.

It is learnt that Sanjay’s word marked “range” but not brainless as that was framed by others in a wrong way. The official IPL Twitter handle said, “Range” and not “brain” or “brainless”. The footage justifies the fact that Sanjay Manjrekar hasn’t made any bad remark on Pollard.
