In an interview managed by Sportskeeda to CSK team director, when asked about the skipper of the CSK side, he quickly replied quoting ”We are very happy about it. But we haven’t applied our mind to it right now but we are extremely happy about it. (On MS Dhoni coming back to CSK as captain) Obvious, yes. It is a very obvious choice but we have not applied our mind beyond that.”

He furtherly added that they are very happy with the retention as there are as many as 13 players available for them to pick in the upcoming season. The only player they would be missing to retain is Mohit Sharma who was picked by Kings XI Punjab when he was auctioned.

“We are happy with this. Thirteen players are there (from the 2015 squad), so we are fine with it,” he quoted. The CSK franchise cannot be able to retain only one capped player from their 2015 IPL squad is Mohit Sharma.

However, the final news has been confirmed by the respective board officials. Now, the next big thing for the CSK unit is to pick their former players back in the auction to get their mojo back.
