Jasprit Bumrah, the player who ended the death bowling conundrum for Indian team celebrated his birthday on December 6th. The wishes poured on him from all over the cricketing world. Off all, the wish from Rohit Sharma made the headlines as his wish included a lot of meaning in it.

Rohit Sharma quoted saying that blue jersey is always Bumrah’s colour in his cricketing career by a cheeky symbol attached to it. With the IPL retention policy doing rounds in the cricketing world, one can strongly understand the meaning behind Rohit Sharma’s wish.

WIth the 5 players available for a team to retain, one can never leave a player like Jasprit Bumrah. Rohit Sharma indirectly assured his place on the very same day when retention policy came out. Bumrah too won’t get a better day than it to hear the news as it was his birthday.

Rohit Sharma’s tweet read ”Blue is your colour mate, you know what I mean. have a great birthday.” To reply, Jasprit Bumrah replied quoting ”Haha yes I know what you mean. Thank you, Mr Sharma.”

Coming to the national duty, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah are selected for the Test series against South Africa in the coming January. The birthday boy, Jasprit Bumrah is all set to make his first appearance in the White Jersey in a case of Virat Kohli preferring him to be placed in the playing XI.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma made most of his chances in the series against Sri Lanka as he tallied big runs to his name in order to make sure his name in the squad against South Africa.
