WATCH: Hardik Pandya sledged Sanju Samson during RR vs GT match – Video goes viral

Rajasthan Royals registered a phenomenal win over Gujarat Titans in last night’s match at the Narendra Modi stadium. They avenged their defeat in the IPL 2022 final and with this, they are now on the top of the IPL 2023 points table with a clear 2 points lead.

They currently have 8 points in 5 matches whereas second placed Lucknow Super Giants have 6 points in the same number of matches.

Talking about the match, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bowl first. Gujarat Titans were able to put up a fighting total of 177 runs despite a not-so-great start.

It was all thanks to the brilliant knocks of Shubman Gill (45 off 34) and David Miller (46 off 30).

When Rajasthan Royals came in to chase in the second innings, they were off to an awful start. Jos Buttler departed for a duck and Yashasvi Jaiswal made just 1 run.

However, captain Sanju Samson played a captain’s knock to make sure that RR were in a fighting position till the very end. He scored 60 runs off 32 deliveries.

During his knock, GT captain Hardik Pandya was seen trying to instigate the RR captain. In a viral video, we can see that Hardik Pandya went to Sanju Samson to sledge him during Mohammed Shami’s over and it clearly made him angry. However, he preferred to send a reply with his bat.

In the end, it was Shimron Hetmyer who finished things off for Rajasthan Royals in sensational fashion. His 56 off 26 knock bolstered Rajasthan Royals to victory. It was one of his best finishes ever for the Royals and is a knock worth remembering.

RR will play second placed Lucknow Super Giants next on 19th April. That too will be a match worth watching as two heavyweights will take on each other.
