However, in one of those sorrow news, Mitchell Johnson himself revealed that he has sustained a horrific head injury and the pictures related to it are just shaking to watch.
Mitchell Johnson has a thoroughly impressive back-to-back Big Bash seasons and skipped Pakistan Super League citing few personal reasons. Meanwhile, he has been picked by Kolkata Knight Riders for his base price of 2 crores in the recently-concluded IPL auctions 2018 which made him hit the nets once again.
According to the reports in Daily Mail, Mitchell Johnson suffered the horrific injury after a clash with a chin-up bar. Johnson required as many as 13 stitches in his scalp after colliding with the bar which left him with an unpleasant cut. The fast bowler, however, stated in an Instagram post that he was fine.
Johnson quoted in his Instagram that ”If you don’t like blood & cuts then don’t look through these pics! Not the best thing I’ve ever done to myself but I’m am fine #toohardtoexplain #dontfightchinupbar #stilldontknowhowitspossible #18.3grrrrr #baldspot.”
However, people wished Mitchell Johnson a soon recovery despite the fast bowler added that he is fine. Mitchell Johnson will feature for Kolkata Knight Riders who will be accompanied by Australian counterparts Mitchell Starc and Chris Lynn in the unit. He also got a good rapport with Simon Katich who is the part of coaching panel for KKR.
Coming to Mitchell Johnson’s career in IPL, he has featured for Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab but unfortunately, could not make a much impact in his appearances. However, the short grounds and edges carrying to boundaries have made a way in his bowing career in IPL.
