Former Indian Captain met with an accident on Durgapur Expressway.

Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly’s convoy met with a minor accident on Thursday near Dantanpur on the Durgapur Expressway while he was en route to Bardhaman.

The incident, which resulted in slight damage to the vehicles, fortunately did not cause any injuries.

According to reports, Ganguly was traveling to Bardhaman to attend an event when a lorry unexpectedly attempted to cut into his convoy, leading to a loss of control among the vehicles.

His driver acted swiftly, applying the brakes, which caused a chain reaction, resulting in the car following Ganguly’s Range Rover colliding with it. However, as the vehicles were not moving at high speed, the damage remained minimal.

Following the accident, Ganguly’s convoy halted for about 10 minutes before continuing its journey once the situation was under control.

Upon reaching Bardhaman, the former BCCI president attended a program at Bardhaman University before participating in an event organized by the Bardhaman Sports Association.

Saurav Ganguly address the media:

Expressing his happiness at being in Bardhaman, Ganguly addressed the gathering, saying, “I am overwhelmed to be here. The Burdwan Sports Association had been inviting me for a long time, and it feels great to finally be here today.

He further said “The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has been collaborating with the Burdwan sports organization for 50 years, and many talented players have emerged from this district. We must continue identifying and nurturing players from here in the future.”

Sourav Ganguly is doing fine:

The incident did not impact Ganguly’s schedule, and he went on to complete his engagements as planned.
