Pakistan on HIGH ALERT for Terror threat amid Champions Trophy 2025!

Pakistan have reportedly been put on high alert after intelligence reports about a potential terrorist attack in the country amid the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy that is being hosted by the country. The security forces have been cautioned by the Pakistani Intelligence Bureau that important foreign guests attending the event can be potentially kidnapped or abducted by terrorist forces.

This is a major blow to Pakistan at a time when they are hosting a tournament of this status in their country. They just recently resumed International cricket in the country after almost a decade as after the 2009 terrorist attack on the Sri Lanka team bus in Pakistan, international cricket was paused in the nation indefinitely. Another terror attack, if it really does take place, will be another major blow for Pakistan cricket, especially at a time when so many international teams are playing there.

According to the reports, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), ISIS and other Balochistan based terror groups are the ones who potentially organize a terror attack wherein they abduct foreign guests who are currently staying in Pakistan tor the tournament.

“The sources revealed that the alert has been issued against several terror groups, including Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), ISIS, and other Balochistan-based outfits,” reporter Republic World.

Pakistan are organising an ICC event in their nation after 29 long years and they better make sure that it doesn’t go wrong. The fact that the tournament has become hybrid due to the inability of team India to play in Pakistan as the Indian government did not sanction the national team to travel to the country is controversial enough. A terror attack will only justify India’s decision and it will be even more shameful for PCB.
