Ravindra Jadeja lands in trouble after raid at his Rajkot restaurant

The Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has landed in trouble after the Rajkot Municipal Corporation found inedible food items at his restaurant. Jadeja’s restaurant was one of the three restaurants in which the raid has been made by the food department of city’s municipal corporation.

According to reports, the stale food has been destroyed by the authorities and the restaurant has been given a notice of four days to get the things organized again. There was food preserved for a long period of time, bread with fungus and items without mention of the expiry date were destroyed by the authorities.

Jadeja restaurant has been given the notice to get the act together

Ravindra Jadeja sister Naina takes care of the restaurant and said as quoted by Ahmedabad Mirror, “Yes we had some quantity of boiled and cooked food. Only a few pieces of bread had gone stale. We used to preserve cooked food, but now we will ensure it is destroyed the same night. Also, we did not have a crusher. We could not find it in the market but will make arrangements now. The food colors were meant to be used only for vegetable carvings and not in food”.

It remains to be seen that if there would be any action taken against Jadeja’s restaurant and the authorities have given a time limit of four days to get the act together. Jadeja has been out of the Indian team and he would aim to make the cut into the squad as soon as possible.

Jadeja was selected as the replacement for Axar Patel in the first three One Day Internationals but was unable to make it to the last XI. The all-rounder had earlier also showed his disappointment at being left out of the squad via a tweet.
