Australian legendary spin-bowler Shane Warne has finally ended suspense over his IPL announcement. The former leg-spinner has finally made it official that he will be back to his old franchise, Rajasthan Royals as the Team Mentor. Royals are making the comeback to IPL along with Chennai Super Kings after serving a ban of two years.

Shane Warne had a great relationship with Rajasthan Royals, with whom he won the inaugural IPL season as a Captain in 2008. Shane Warne was clinical in Royals winning IPL 2008 season and he remained associated with the franchise till 2011. A few days back, Shane Warne posted a tweet on his Twitter account, in which he claimed he has an announcement to make with IPL in it.

As committed, Shane Warne finally lifted the curtains and made it official that he will be joining Rajasthan Royals as the Team Mentor. Shane Warne made it official on his Twitter handle. “Very excited to be joining the @rajasthanroyals in this years #IPL as team mentor!”, reads his tweet.

The former spinner also posted a video on his Instagram account in which he officially announced that he will be joining Rajasthan Royals as the Team Mentor.

In his Instagram video, Warne thanked the franchise for putting the trust in him. Warne further added he has some great memories with Royals, particularly in the inaugural 2008 season which Rajasthan Royals won under his captaincy. Shane Warne also added he is excited to be back in Rajasthan Royals and also thanked fans in India who have always supported him and added he is looking forward to accomplishing new goals with Royals in 2018 season. He ended the video the Rajasthan Royals tagline “Halla Bol”.
