Australia’s most dependable batsman right now, their skipper Steve Smith gave a mini heart attack to his teammates as well as Australian fans ahead of the opening encounter of the T20I series against India.
He injured his shoulder on Thursday while talking part in a practice session in MS Dhoni’s hometown Ranchi. He also had an immediate MRI scan in the local hospital to magnify his exact situation. Over there the reports declared that it is just a minor injury and he will be ready to participate in the match.
Australia were dominated by the hosts in the recently concluded ODI series. In the five match series, they lost to India by a margin of 1-4. By virtue of this emphatic performance India went to number one in ODI rankings. Australia just won a single match that too after India rested their frontline bowlers.
There will be a total of three T20 internationals between these two strong sides in this shortest format of the game. The first game will start on coming Saturday followed by remaining games on next Wednesday and Sunday. It will be a close fought series because T20 is the most unpredictable format of the game of cricket.
