Kusal Mendis finds a place in the list but unfortunately, couldn’t do the same in the newly announced Test squad that is scheduled to tour India. He had decent knocks in his kitty earlier in the year but failed to make it count at the end of the year making himself see the distasteful situations.

He scored 669 runs in 20 innings at an average of 33.45 including a couple of centuries and 3 fifties. He registered 194 as his best knock in 2017.

9. Shai Hope – 698 runs

Isn’t Shai Hope already made his mark at the International Cricket? Yes, he produced a couple of marathon knocks in England facing the likes of James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Co. He raised the Windies bar in Test cricket and currently holds 9th place in the highest run-getters in 2017.

He scored 698 runs in 15 innings at a stunning average of 53.69. He also notched up a couple of centuries and 3 fifties to his name. He registered 147 as his best knock in 2017
