India lost the first ODI against New Zealand. Is MS Dhoni the reason behind it? Absolutely not but Yes for the critic masters as they once again blame MS Dhoni for India’s loss at Wankhede. The classy show from Tom Latham and Ross Taylor does the trick for Kiwis to record the highest-ever successful chase at Wankhede Stadium.

Earlier in the day, India won the toss and asked the visitors to take the field in the high humid conditions. Indian openers failed to justify the decision of Virat Kohli as they made pavilion way for pretty low scores including the new number 4 batsman Kedar Jadhav (12).

It was Virat Kohli once again who lifted India’s batting alongside the comeback person, Dinesh Karthik. MS Dhoni who came to bat at number 6 started his innings slowly in his regular manner but failed to back it up that resulted in losing a power hitter for India in the slog overs.

The blistering century by Virat Kohli and the decent strikes from Bhuvneshwar Kumar handed a decent tally for India to stay in the game. However, it never troubled New Zealanders as the experienced duo Ross Taylor (95) and Tom Latham (103*) scripted a masterful chase.

As always, critic masters started blaming MS Dhoni for the loss and took Twitter as a platform to express their views on the game. Here are the few tweets:
