Not easy to score two centuries in an away Test series but Shikhar Dhawan made it look so. The Lankan tail once again was on the receiving end of letting the specialist batsman dictate the early tempo. The conversion was so good that Dhawan did the talking with his bat by shimmying down the track to reap for the big ones.

Battling out in practice sessions to mark a name in unfamiliar climes can make you desperate; it can also make you determined. By combining the game with a tad more caution and agility, Shikhar Dhawan brought up his 6th Test century, his 3rd against Sri Lanka, second in the ongoing series whereas five in overseas.

Sri Lanka still haven’t taken the learnings from the past errors. In the opening Test match, Asanka Gurusinha made a mess on the field by letting out a costly drop that enabled Shikhar Dhawan to switch gears to score a valiant 190 that haunted the hosts.

This time also it happened more or less the same, Dhawan got an inside edge that went through second and third slip that could have been taken being spot on in the areas. However, the specialist batsman made use of the chance to good effect to score yet another century.
