Sri Lanka are delving into extreme highs and lows while executing their plans. Having successfully made a 2-0 sweep over Pakistan in the away series, they made a transition in the downward curve that saw them getting all the bashings from Pakistan with a rampaging 0-5 cleansweep.

There couldn’t be any other ignominy for Sri Lanka as they suffer their third whitewash in a calendar year. A pathetic record for Sri Lanka that is not the one to remember. Things have really gone from bad to worse and that’s the phase of Sri Lankan cricket.

Two things that we learnt so far between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Sri Lanka turned up in Tests whereas Pakistan made a steep bounced in the ODI form. Pakistan’s historic result brought all the smiles on their faces with a tinge of raw emotions in what was important for them to take a sweet revenge.

Sri Lanka were never really in terms of making a brisk statement nor announcing their arrival. After four successive deficits, they had all important chance to avoid the embarassing whitewash. Pakistan didn’t allow Sri Lanka even a little bit of breathing space and so the Lankan tail got suffocated.

Sri Lanka were skittled out by a mediocre 103, a total that shows they are far from being impressive. Usman Khan picked a vital fifer to cut down Sri Lanka’s chances of scoring. Pakistan successfull aced the chase by nine wickets. Usman Khan is named the man of the match whereas Hasan Ali is named the Player of the series.

After the completion of Test and ODI assignments, the action tunes to the shortest format of the game with three games. The first two games will be played in Abu Dhabi on October 26 and 27 whereas the final one will be played in Lahore on October 29.
