The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the squad for Sri Lanka ODI series just minutes ago. Yuvraj Singh was dropped from the India ODI team squad in what was the worst news for the Yuvi fans. The Indian selectors planned to include some youth faces in the squad and it was an easy bargain for them to eradicate Yuvraj Singh.

The fans were boiled and expressed their searing anger on the social media Twitter platform with so much of tweets pouring to indicate that Yuvraj Singh shouldn’t have been dropped by the selectors. Yuvraj Singh proved to be one of the best prospects in the ICC Champions Trophy where he secured 29-ball 50 against Pakistan that earned him the man of the match.

After the conclusion of the tournament, his form faded away that was clearly seen in the recent India-West Indies ODI series where he flopped with paltry scores of 14 in the second ODI but made a decent 39 to his name. With a string of good performances for India A, Manish Pandey gets a place. Shardul Thakur and KL Rahul are included in the team.

Yuvraj Singh got just a couple of chances in the recent West Indies series who was then replaced by Dinesh Karthik in the Antigua ODI. Shockingly, Dinesh Karthik too was not included in the squad. How many times have we seen see Yuvraj Singh getting axed and making a stellar return to the squad? It’s just a matter of days! Yuvraj Singh will be back!

Here is how Twitter showed anger towards Yuvraj Singh’s exclusion from the ODI squad:
