New Zealand continued its domination over the Pakistan team as the hosts won by 5 wickets to take an unassailable lead of 4-0 in the five-match ODI series. This is the 11 consecutive victory for the Black Caps after they had recently demolished West Indies in their own backyard.

Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed called the right side of the coin and decided to have a bat. The visitor’s batsmen got off to a bad start as they were reduced to 11 for 2. Harris Sohail and Fakhar Zaman steadied the ship as they put together an alliance of 86 runs.

Ahmed was continuously pumping his boys.

Three of Pakistan top order and middle order batsmen got off to good start and went past the 50-run mark. But what was more disappointing for the tourists as none of them were able to convert these starts into significant scores. Captain Sarfraz Ahmed ended the innings on a high as he scored a fighting 51 to take Pakistan total to 262.

Tim Southee was the pick of the Kiwis bowlers as he scalped 3 wickets for 44 and surprisingly, skipper Kane Williamson who decided to roll his arm finished his quota of 10 overs with 2 for 32. Colin Munro and Martin Guptill gave a good platform as they put together an association of 88 runs for the opening stand.

The tourists came back strong with Shadab Khan and the hosts were left in a tricky situation after they lost their skipper Kane Williamson and they were 154 for 5. Colin de Grandhomme who was making his comeback after a while due to the death of his father smashed any hopes of Pakistan comeback. Colin was positive right from the get-go and brought his half-century in just 25 balls as New Zealand cruised to another win.

The Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed was backing his fielders to give more than they were doing. Ahmed kept motivating his bowlers as well as fielders to be at the top of their game. Ahmed also missed a difficult stumping chance of Colin de Grandhomme.

Twitter went on to troll the Pakistan gloveman for his continuous chatter behind the stumps and the twitter reacted in the following way after New Zealand extended their lead to 4-0.
