Today’s IPL 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium was hands down one of the best high scoring thrillers we have seen so far in IPL 2023.



Talking about the match, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and opted to bowl first. Although they were quick to pick up the important wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad, it has started to look like RCB had taken the wrong decision as CSK were scoring runs at a very high rate, thanks to the performances of Devon Conway and Shivam Dube. They ended up setting a humongous total of 226 runs.



Coming in to chase, RCB were off to a poor start as well as they lost Virat Kohli’s wicket in the most unorthodox and unlucky way possible.



However, the partnership of Faf du Plessis and Glen Maxwell not only brought RCB to a suitable position, but it also gave them the upper hand and fans expected them to win from there.



However, RCB being RCB, they somehow managed to choke this match as well. They lost the match from such an advantageous position by a margin of just 8 runs. After the fall of Du Plessis and Maxwell’s wicket, the other RCB players were not really able to keep up the same level of performance and thus they ended up falling short of the total.

As a result, CSK won the match and rose up to the 5th position on the points table.
