VIDEO: Harman asks Ecclestone to mind her own business in Controversial moment

The 16th match of the ongoing Women’s Premier League turned out to be an exciting faceoff between UP Warriorz and Mumbai Indians and the match had an extremely heated moment. In fact, UP’s Sophie Ecclestone tried to come in between an argument between Harmanpreet Kaur and the umpire and the Mumbai Indians captain asked her to mind her own business!

In the match that was played at the Ekana Cricket Ground, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first. The UP Warriorz were off to a great start, thanks to the opening partnership between Grace Harris and Georgia Voll. However, after the partnership broke, none of the UP Warriors batters were able to keep up the momentum. Captain Deepti Sharma who scored 27 off 25 was the only other batter who performed well.

Just ahead of the 20th over, the umpire told MI captain Harmanpreet Kaur that they were 4 minutes behind the over rate and this meant that they needed to have one more fielder inside the ring as a penalty. However, she was having none of it and had a fierce argument with the umpire. It was during this time that Sophie Ecclestone tried to come in between but Harman sent her away and asked her to mind her own business. Although Sophie did not seem to care much about it, it has caused a lot of facade on the internet.

UP Warriorz went on to set a target of 151 runs which MI chased down in 18.3 overs with 6 wickets in hand. Hayley Matthews played phenomenally for them and scored 68 off 46. Nat Sciver-Brunt on the other hand, also scored 37 off 23 and contributed in the victory.
