We all want to witness that the two teams who battle it out on the field, give the respect to its opponents. The game can get intense sometimes or the players can be involved in some verbal battles but we all crave for the sportsman spirit between them. The spirit of the game is of utmost importance and it is up to the players that they keep them high.

As the year 2017 is coming into its later stages, the International Cricket Council shared the best moment of the year which upholds the “Spirit of the game”. Interestingly, the moment that has been considered worthy of being in high spirit was the moment between the two nemesis of the game.

Spirit of the game is of utmost importance.

Pakistan had flabbergasted India in the final of the Champions Trophy as the latter was the red-hot favourites to lift the championship. Right after the match, it was expected that there would be some harsh talks from the players of each team but both team players were seen indulging in a friendly talk after the match.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Shoaib Malik, Azhar Mahmood and Yuvraj Singh were seen involved in a friendly talk after the match in the post-match ceremony, which has been regarded as the Spirit of cricket moment by the governing body.

There was a lot of fuss about the finals and Virat Kohli showed great maturity as he had credited the Pakistan team for outplaying them. The men in Green were better on the day and they deserve to win the coveted tournament. Both Pakistan and India face off in major ICC events and as the political tension between the two countries is never settle, they don’t play any bilateral series against each other.
